DISAPPOINTED

We attended the show at Tysons Capital One Hall. While it started slow….there was some funny material. It wasn’t outstanding by any means, but it was entertaining, until the gay guy came out and the F word was used more than the word “teacher” or “student.” His act had no amusing anecdotal stories about teaching—- his act centered around his being “F*$#@¥. Totally disgusting. Two of us attending have been in teaching for over 25 years and we can recall so many funny stories between us that are funny without being crass. Please rethink your material.

VERY DISAPPOINTING

I was so excited to go to this. I actually gave about $100 for tickets. It was a total waste. The person I wanted to see was Gerry Brooks. He was on stage about 10 minutes. Tell Williams was absolutely horrible! He dropped the Fbomb about 50 times in his 20 minute portion. Not acceptable to me! Teachers don’t appreciate this language. It would have been much better without the language.

SURPRISINGLY NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

So, I'm acquainted with BT through their facebook page and funny teaching videos. My wife and I are both teachers and appreciate their online humor, so this seemed like a good "Date Night" event. To be honest, I was pretty shocked. Only about 25% of the comedy was related to teaching, and when it was, it was mostly obscene and vulgar. Multiple rounds of humor about cum/semen. The f-word used like it was going out of style. The final act was a guy from Florida who talked for 10 minutes about "eating ass." This is NOT what I was expecting. Wasted $140 a ticket on garbage, sadly.

TRULY DISAPPOINTING

There were some really funny moments throughout the show, but the over-use of vulgarity of all kinds was just over the top. It sadly took away from what has amazing potential. Teachers follow the site because we relate and can find humor in the ridiculousness of things that happen throughout the course of a day or a career. And please remove Taylor completely. Her entire set bordered and then launched into the realm of pedophilia and disgusting sexual humor at the expense of "children in her class". Please still remember, teachers are often parents as well. We struggle enough with public perception... there's lots of hilarious teacher comedy that doesn't require the profanity or sexual content.

BORED TEACHERS COMEDY TOUR IN MEDFORD

This comedy night was the worst comedy event we have ever attended. I would say this was more of a disgrace to the image of all teachers. We went out to diner with some friends which was excellent, then we headed over to go see the Bored teachers comedy tour in Medford Ma anticipating having a few laughs. It was scheduled to start at 7:00pm. but it didn't start till 7:20 pm. then starting with complete nonsense and trying to get the attention of other teachers in the audience to scream and make noise. Then it started and it went downhill from there. The first act was more about how he is gay and some family issues with his father over it. Nothing was funny in the whole act. Never mind the ridiculous outfit. We all said this was the worst but let's see if the next act gets better. Another slovenly dressed teacher/comedian came on the stage and WOW just when we didn't think it could get any worse, we all looked at each other and said were out of here. I really hope they change their careers for their sake and the students they set an example for each day. I hated to say any of this. Save your money and skip this disaster.

BORED TEACHERS WAS OFFENSIVE AND BORING AND DISAPPOINTING

The trailers for The Bored Teachers Comedy Act didn’t include filthy language. It also had lots of funny jokes about teacher humor, parent conferences. This show in Pensacola could have been so much more entertaining if the presenters had stuck to teacher jokes and excluded filthy language. I wish I had read other reviews that say the same things I have said. I WOULD NOT have paid my money and gone. I left after the second person.

BORED TEACHERS TOUR AWFUL IN SF

One of the comedians, a woman, was great, one was good, guy from Florida, , two were very disappointing. First of all it started 20 minutes late. Next the two awful comedians used very little teacher content and a lot of profanity. I didn't want to hear about their grandmothers or non-teacher stories. especially when there's so many good education stories out there. feel ripped off and want my money back. Love the people on the boredteachers website but skip the comedy tour. Only one out of four were currently teaching. Where was Jerry Brooks?
